A number of the team use Iasus Throat Mic's as their primary communication device. While searching on eBay we have come across a number of sales where we were able to pick these up for next to nothing. Even though the price was low, the quality of product is still top notch.

Clarity is the one word that says it all. Whether transmitting or receiving, the quality of the Iasus Throat Mic is far above the other mics on the market. You can make out almost anything that is said on your channel. Very rarely do I have to ask someone to repeat themselves.

When transmitting, others will hear what you say and not the gun battle in the background. Additionally, you don't need to speak much louder than a whisper to be heard. This is a great feature for your advanced recon team that is surrounded by enemy troops and needs to report in.

As for comfort, the Velcro neck strap is a must. Without the neck strap the mic will tend to shift during movement. Adding the neck strap gives an added layer of protection against throat shots, but may itch during prolonged periods of use.

On some models with a seperate PTT interface, you must make sure the connection doesn't jiggle loose or your radio may switch to a VOX mode without you knowing it. This can lead to you jamming all the communication on your teams channel. If this happens you may hear people yelling "Turn off Your Radio Goose! All I hear is your Breathing". To solve this problem simple bypass the PTT button and use the one on the side of the radio.
